Fairhavens is so happy with their new home at 127 Kensington Drive. They encourage anyone who hasn’t yet seen the home to go and pay them a visit.
Fairhavens has six babies and a fostered seven year old in their care. The children have settled in really well and visitors to the home comment on how happy the children seem to be.
“Thank you to all our volunteers who make a difference in the lives of our precious children” – Fairhavens
Being in the community has made Fairhavens easily accessible to its people and so they have daily visitors and very kind people dropping off goods of daily necessities.
One of their volunteers is teaching the staff the benefits of baby massage while another lady is schooling one of the children while she awaits adoption.
One little girl arrived at Fairhavens in an unhealthy state – she was severely malnourished and had serious problems with her lungs. After many hospital visits, she’s gained weight and strength, and now gets jealous when Linda holds the other babies! To see her health improve and gain weight has been a delight for the staff.
“We are continually grateful to those God brings our way”
Fairhavens also recently had a group of girls from Norway come and help out in the Babies Homes in Durban North, and Fairhavens were able to host them. Their eyes were opened to the plight of orphans in South Africa.
